Do not work on slopes with a more than
10° gradient!
Take particular care when turning!
Do not leave the appliance unattended.
When leaving the appliance:
Switch off the engine.
Wait for the attachment to come to a
standstill.
Remove the spark plug connector.
Do not change the engine governor settings.

Safety instructions for attachments

Before installing attachments, secure the ap-
pliance to prevent it from rolling away and
place the attachments in a stable position.
Install attachments only when the engine and
appliance drive are switched off.
3.1.1
Scythe attachment and front scythe
mower mechanism
The scythe attachment has exposed blades.
These pose a considerable risk of injury if not
handled carefully. Replace a damaged guard
bar!
Always put on the guard bar for the scythe at-
tachment when:
Installing the scythe attachment on the
appliance
Cleaning the appliance
Transporting and storing the appliance
Carrying out installation work on the
scythe attachment
Raising the scythe attachment
Use scythe attachment and front scythe
mower mechanism only on lawn areas.
Inspect the terrain on which the scythe at-
tachment and front scythe mower mechanism
are to be used. Remove all foreign objects
from the working area that could be picked
up and thrown out.
When starting the engine:
Never allow anyone to stand in front of
the scythe attachment.
The scythe attachment and wheel drive
must be switched off.
Switch off the scythe attachment drive when
moving outside the mowing area.

Sweeper

Dirt, stones and twigs, for example, can be
thrown up when sweeping. Wear protective
clothing!

Tiller

Do not use the appliance in rocky terrain.

Snow plough

The snow plough can be swivelled to the side in
both directions.
When using the snow plough, fit snow chains
to the drive wheels to improve traction. Take
care when driving over edges (e.g. kerbs and
other obstacles on the ground).
3.2

Fuel and service products

DANGER! Risk of explosion and fire. An
escaping petrol/air mixture can cause an explo-
sive atmosphere. Deflagration, explosion and fire
can lead to serious and even fatal injuries if fuel
is not handled properly.
Do not smoke when dealing with petrol.
Only handle petrol out of doors and never in
enclosed spaces.
It is essential to heed the code of conduct
stated below.
Store petrol only in the appropriate contain-
ers.
Refuel only outdoors.
Do not smoke when refuelling.
Use a suitable funnel or a filler pipe when re-
fuelling so that no fuel is spilled onto the en-
gine, the housing or the ground.
Do not open the fuel filler cap when the en-
gine is running or hot.
Replace the tank or fuel filler cap if damaged.
Renew exhaust silencers if damaged.
If petrol has leaked out:
Do not start the engine.
Avoid start attempts.
Clean the appliance.
Allow the remaining fuel to evaporate.
WARNING! Danger of burns. Engines be-
come very hot in operation!
Never touch parts of the engine, in particular
the exhaust.
Allow the exhaust, cylinder and cooling vanes
to cool down before contact.
