Disconnect the power supply before removing the battery from
the charger socket. Avoid consecutive short charges. Do not
recharge the battery after using it for a short time. A significant
drop in the time between necessary recharges indicates that the
battery is worn out and should be replaced.
Batteries become warm during the charging process. Do not
start work immediately after charging - wait until the battery has
reached room temperature. This will prevent damage to the
battery.
BATTERY CHARGE STATUS INDICATION
The battery pack is equipped with a charge status indication (3 LEDs)
(13). To check the charge status of the battery, press the battery
charge status indicator button (12) (Fig. C). Lighting of all LEDs
indicates a high level of battery charge. The lighting of 2 diodes
indicates partial discharge. The lighting of only 1 diode indicates that
the battery is exhausted and needs to be recharged.
BLADE MOUNTING
The blade is mounted and replaced without tools.
• Pull up the quick-release lever (3) for mounting the doctor blade.
(Fig. D).
• Slide the blade into the notch of the tool holder as far as the stop.
• Lower the quick-assembly lever for the doctor blade (3) (the lever
automatically returns to its initial position).
(Fig. E).
• Check that the blade is properly seated in the holder by pulling
lightly on the blade.
Use the correct blade for the intended work.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
SWITCH ON / OFF
The machine is equipped with a switch lock button (5) to prevent
accidental starting. The safety button is located on both sides of the
machine housing
(fig. F).
Switching on:
• Press one end of the switch lock button (5) and hold it in this
position.
• Press the switch button (6) (fig. G).
• Once the appliance has started up, the switch lock button (5) can
be released.
Switching off:
• Releasing pressure on the switch button (6) stops the appliance.
The speed range of the appliance is adjusted by the degree of
pressure on the switch button.
CUTTING
• Place the front of the foot (2) flat on the material to be cut so that
the blade does not touch the material.
• Start the saw and adjust the speed to the characteristics of the
material to be cut.
• Move slowly guiding the blade along the pre-determined cutting
line (Fig. H, I).
Cut evenly, taking care not to overload the saw. Excessive pressure
exerted on the blade will have a braking effect on the cutting
performance.
During operation, the whole surface of the foot should touch the
surface of the workpiece.
Check the correct mounting of the working tool. Improperly or
inaccurately mounted work tools may slip during operation and
cause danger to the operator.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Remove the battery pack from the machine before carrying out any
installation, adjustment, repair or operation.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• It is recommended to clean the unit immediately after each use.
• Do not use water or other liquids for cleaning.
• The device should be cleaned with a dry piece of cloth or blown
with low pressure compressed air.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents as these may damage
the plastic parts.
• Clean the ventilation slots in the motor housing regularly to prevent
the unit from overheating.
• Always store the unit in a dry place out of the reach of children.
• The device should be stored with the battery removed.
Any faults should be rectified by an authorised manufacturer's
service.

Information on noise and vibration
The noise emission level of the machine is described by: the emitted
sound pressure level Lp
the measurement uncertainty). The vibration emitted by the unit is
described by the vibration acceleration value a
measurement uncertainty).
The sound pressure level Lp
vibration acceleration value a
measured in accordance with EN 62841-1. The given vibration level
a
can be used for comparison of equipment and for preliminary
h
assessment of vibration exposure.
The stated vibration level is only representative of the primary use of
the equipment. If the equipment is used for other applications or with
other work tools, the vibration level may change. A higher vibration
level will be influenced by insufficient or too infrequent maintenance
of the unit. The reasons given above may result in increased vibration
exposure during the entire working period.
To accurately estimate vibration exposure, it is necessary to take
into account periods when the unit is switched off or when it is
switched on but not used for work. When all factors are
accurately estimated, the total vibration exposure may be
significantly lower.
In order to protect the user from the effects of vibration, additional
safety measures should be implemented, such as cyclical
maintenance of the machine and working tools, protection of
adequate hand temperature and proper work organisation.
