Installation of the turntable
1.
Place the turntable (1) on the table (2). (Fig. A)
2.
Screw the fixing nut (7) onto the locking screw.
(Fig. B)
Installing the tool sharpening station on a work-
bench
The device must be firmly attached to a corner of a
workbench or table for safe handling. If possible, use
all three fixing points for this. However, make sure that
the recess for the saw chain and the access to the
locking nut remain free. (Fig. C)
Tip: In addition, we recommend a rubber pad for noise
and vibration reduction (not included in the scope of
delivery).
Place the device in a place that meets the following
conditions:
• non-slip
• vibration-free
• even
• clean and dry
• free from tripping hazards
• adequate lighting conditions
8. Commissioning
m Attention!
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Mains power connection
Compare the voltage specified on the device type
plate, e.g. 230 V, with the mains voltage and connect
the tool sharpening station to the corresponding and
properly earthed socket.
AC motor:
Use a Schuko socket outlet, mains voltage 230 V with
residual current circuit breaker and 10 A slow blow fuse
protection.
Use connection or extension cables with a wire
cross-section of at least 1.5 mm².
Switching on
Do not use any device on which the switch cannot be
switched on and off. Damaged switches must be re-
paired or replaced immediately by customer service.
Press "I" on the on/off switch.

Working instructions
m Before starting work, note the following:
• Workplace tidy?
• Is the tool sharpening station firmly fitted on a work-
bench?
• You may not put the device into operation before
this operating manual is read, have observed all the
specified notes and the device is fitted as described!
Working with the tool sharpening station
m The grinding disc must be covered by the protective
cover (17) as much as possible. To do this, separate
the two screws (14) and set the protective cover ac-
cordingly. Fig. D
m Always keep your hands at a safe distance from the
rotating grinding disc.
• Do not use damaged grinding discs or those that
have changed shape.
• Do not work until the grinding disc has reached
maximum speed.
• Only saw chains that can be safely placed and guid-
ed may be processed.
Sharpening of saw chains
Before any setting on the device:
• Shutting down the device
• Wait until the grinding disc is at a standstill
• Pull out the mains plug
Grinding all cutting links
To grind a cutting edge of the cutting links, proceed
as follows:
1.
You set the grinding angle: Turn the turntable to
approx. 30° by separately loosening the locking
nut (7) and then tighten the locking nut again.
m The cutting edges of the cutting links are normally
ground at an angle of between 30 and 35 degrees.
2.
Separately loosen the fixing screw (3b) and place
the saw chain in the guide rail (6) between the
guide plates (5). (Fig. E)
3.
Fold down the chain stop (4) and pull the saw
chain back until the cutting link to be sharpened
rests against the stop. (Fig. F)
4.
For exact alignment, pull the grinding head (13)
against the cutting link. Set the distance using the
fixing screw (3a) so that the grinding disc touches
the cutting link.
