5.9. Seat
5.9.1. Seat depth
You can extend the seat depth (see chapter 7. Technical data).
•
Swivel the side parts upwards (see chapter 5.7).
•
Loosen the five screws of the seat cover on each side with a Phillips
18.
screwdriver.
•
Pull out the front tube on the seat by the distance of the threaded
bushes, approx. two cm (Fig 18).
•
Also move the seat cover forward by the distance of the threaded
bushes (approx. 2 cm).
•
Secure the seat cover by tightening the screws in new front threaded
bushes.
5.9.2. Seat height
The seat height can be changed by adjusting the drive wheel and the
front wheel at the same time (see chapter 5.11). Please note that the
drive and front wheels must be adjusted in the same direction and by
the same amount.
5.10. Seat angle
If you tilt the seat of the wheelchair backwards, you will sit lower and
more firmly in the wheelchair. To tilt the seat backwards, you have to
attach the quick-release axle (see chap. 5.11.) in a position further up.
If you want to tilt the seat forwards, attach the quick-release axle in a
position further down. With the front wheels it is the other way round.
If you attach the front wheel further down in the fork, the seat will tilt
backwards. If you fix the front wheel further up in the fork, the result
is a negative seat tilt towards the front.
