5. Use speakers with an impedance of 8 ohms
or more (16 ohms when the 1 + 2 position
is used). Speakers with an impedance down
to 4 ohms (8 ohms when the 1 + 2 position
is used) may be used, in which case the
temperature rise of the cabinet may not
satisfy BS 415 or IEC 65. Be sure to pro-
vide good ventilation, especially when
speakers with an impedance of 4o0hms
(8 ohms when the 1 + 2 position is used)
are used,
6. The AC outlets provide power even when
the front panel POWER switch is off.
Do not connect equipment requiring more
than a total of 150 watts.
7. If the AM loop antenna is too close to the
speaker terminals, move it away from the
rear panel to prevent noise.
8. Keep the connection cords away from the
TV as far as possible.
ANTENNAS
AM loop antenna (Fig. 5, 6)
This antenna is for the reception of local AM
broadcasts. {f it is too close to the rear panel,
pull it away from the panel and adjust it for
best reception by tilting. This loop antenna
can be tilted outward by 180°.
When too much noise occurs (Fig. 7)
Especially when a video unit (TV, VTR etc.) is
placed near this unit during AM reception,
noise will occur. Change the direction of the
loop antenna or remove it and reinstall it in a
position that gives best reception. The loop
antenna can be removed easily by pulling it
towards you.
Even in this case, noise may not be completely
eliminated depending on the video unit. If this
happens, leave an adquate distance between the
receiver and the video unit.
AM external antenna (Fig. 8)
If AM reception is not good, connect an ex-
ternal AM antenna (single-wire antenna) to the
AM ANTENNA terminal.
Notes:
e@if the provided loop antenna is not installed
or the antenna cord touches to the rear panel,
it will be impossible to receive AM broad-
casts.
@ When installing an AM external antenna. leave
the AM loop antenna connected.
FM antennas
@75-ohm antenna with coaxial lead (Fig. 9)
Loosen the screws on the bracket and insert
the cable into the ring from below. Then con-
nect the stripped core to the upper terminal.
The bracket ring works as the ground ter-
minal.
® Feeder antenna (Fig, 10)
Connect to the 300-ohm terminal.
Take care that the wires of the feeder antenna
do not touch any other terminal.
@75-ohm antenna with coaxial type connector
(DIN 45 332) for W. Germany (Fig. 11)
Connect to the 75-ohm terminal.
5. Lautsprecher mit einer {mpedanz von 8
Ohm oder mehr (16 Ohm bei Schaltung auf
1+2 Position) anschlieRen. Lautsprecher mit
einer Impedanz ab 4QOhm (8Ohm bei
Schaltung auf Position 1+2) kénnen ver-
wendet werden, wobei jedoch der Tem-
peraturanstieg im Verstarkergehaduse die
Bauteijle BS 415 bzw. IEC 65 beeintrachtigen
kann. Fir ausreichende Ventilation sorgen,
insbesonders bei Verwendung von Laut-
sprechern mit 4 Ohm Impedanz (8 Ohm bei
Schaltung auf Position 1+2).
6. Die Netzausginge liefern auch bei abge-
schaltetem POWER-Schaiter Spannung.
Keine Gerat anschlieBen, die mehr als 150
Watt Leistungsaufnahme besi tzen.
7. Falls sich die AM-Rahmenantenne zu nahe
an den Lautsprecherbuchsen befindet, diese
zur Vermeidung von Storgerauschen ab-
spreizen.
8. Die AnschluRkabel so weit wie méglich vom
Fernsehgerat entfernt verlegen.
ANTENNEN
MW-Rahmenantenne (Abb. 5, 6)
Diese Antenne ist fir den Empfang lokaler MW-
Sender vorgesehen. Befindet sie sich zu nahe an
der Ruckplatte, die Antenne fur bestmdglichen
Empfang nach auen schwen ken, Diese Ranmen-
antenne kann bis zu 180° nach aufen
geschwenkt werd.
Bei Auftreten von Stérgeréuschen (Abb. 7)
Insbesonders wenn diese Gerat in der Nahe
eines Videogerats (Fernseher, Videorecorder)
aufgestellt wird, treten bei MW-Empfang
Stérungen auf. In diesem Fail die Position der
Rahmenantenne verdndern, oder diese ab-
nehmen und in einer neuen, optimalen Empfang
bietenden Position anbringen. Die Rahmen-
antenne la&t sich leicht im horizontaler
Richtung abziehen.
Selpbst in diesem Fall kann noch weiterhin
Stérgerausch auftreten, je mach Videogerat. In
diesem Fall zwischen Receiver und Videogerat
einen ausreichenden Abstand lassen.
MW-AuRenantanne (Abb. 8)
Falls der MW-Empfang unzureichend ist, eine
externe MW-Antenne (Einkabel-Antenne} am
AM ANTENNA-Anschlu anbringen.

e@ Bei nicht installierter Rahmenantenne oder
wenn das Antennenkabel die Riickplatte,
berithrt, ist jeder MW-Empfang unmdglich.
eBei Anschiu& einer MW-Aufenantenne, die
MW-Rahmenantenne angeschlossen lassen.
UKW-Antennen
@75-Ohm-Antenne mit Koaxialkabel (Abb, 9)
Die Schrauben der Halterung !ésen und das
Kabel von unten durch den Ring einfilhren.
Dann die abisolierte Ader an den oberen An-
schiu anschlieRen. Der Klemmenring dient
als ErdungsanschliuR.
@ Speiseantenne (Abb, 10)
An den 300-Ohm-Anschiu anschlieBen.
Darauf achten, da& die Drahte der Speise-
antenne keinen anderen Anschiuf% bertihren.
