Operation

Notes on using air conditioning
systems
7.1.1 Check current consumption
Truma recommends a power supply designed for 10A.
During operation under standard conditions, the current
consumption is below this value.
Before switching on, check that the fuses at the
campsite are adequate.
Check whether the voltage source used for
combined operation of the air conditioning system
and the other connected devices is sufficiently
fused.
7.1.2 Operation with generator or power inverter
The air conditioning system can be operated with a
power inverter or generator. The following specifications
are recommended:
Power inverter type: Pure sine wave voltage curve
Nominal voltage: 230 V AC
Frequency: 50 Hz. +/- 10 %
Loads: resistive and inductive
Recommended power: min. 2000 W (at max. 45 °C
ambient temperature)
NOTICE
An incorrect power supply can lead to
damage and malfunctions in the air
conditioning system.
Only sources with a pure sine wave (e.g.
voltage transformer, generator) and without
voltage peaks should be used for the power
supply.
7.1.3 Inclined position
To prevent the compressor from running dry and
premature wear, the air conditioning system must not
be operated on inclines greater than 8 % / 4.5°.
NOTICE
Material damage caused by parking the
vehicle on a sideways incline.
Condensate drainage is not guaranteed. The
service life and function of the compressor are
impaired.
Park the vehicle with a maximum transverse
and longitudinal inclination of 8 %.
7.1.4 Reducing heat radiation
To save energy and cool the living space more quickly:
Park the vehicle in the shade.
Close blinds or curtains.
Clean the vehicle roof regularly, as dirty roofs heat
up more.

7.1.5 Optimising the room climate
In order to obtain a healthy room climate, the difference
between the inside and outside temperatures should
not be too great.
During operation, the circulated air is cleaned and
dehumidified. Dehumidifying moist air creates a
pleasant indoor climate even if the temperature
differences are not great.
The vehicle must be properly ventilated before
starting the air conditioning system in order to
remove accumulated warm air from the vehicle.
Keep all doors and windows closed during operation
to prevent condensation forming on the air
distributor. This also minimises energy consumption.
Direct the air flow in the room so that it keeps the air
in the room moving.
7.1.6 Settings for rapid cooling
Set the fan to the highest level
Move horizontal air distribution to centre position
between front and rear
Place vertical air distribution on ceiling
7.2
Switching the air conditioning
system on and off
The air conditioning system can be switched on and off
using the remote control.
The air conditioning system can also be controlled
via control panels installed in the vehicle, e.g. the
optional iNetX panel. If a third-party control panel is
installed, refer to the operating instructions.
If the remote control is not at hand or the batteries in
the remote control are flat, the air conditioning system
can also be switched on and off manually using the
on/off switch on the air distributor. The air conditioning
system runs at 22 °C after switching on in automatic
mode.
7.2.1 Switching on the air conditioning system
(remote control)
Press the
button on the remote control.
(If the remote control is in standby mode: Press the
button on the remote control twice)
The set symbols are shown on the remote control
display.
The air conditioning system is switched on.
The last settings are active.
7.2.2 Switching off the air conditioning system
(remote control)
Press the
button on the remote control.
Only the time is now shown on the remote control
display.
The air conditioning system is switched off.
