Safety instructions for hedge trimmers with ex-
tended reach
a)
Reduce the risk of fatal electric shock by never
using the extended reach hedge trimmer near
electrical lines. Contact with or use near power
lines can result in serious injury or fatal electric
shock.
b)
Always use both hands when using the hedge
trimmer with the extension tube. Hold the ex-
tended reach hedge trimmer with both hands to
prevent loss of control.
c)
Wear head protection when working overhead

Additional safety instructions

• When operating the hedge trimmer, always ensure
that a safe stance is taken, especially when using
steps or a ladder.

protection, sturdy shoes and long trousers when

• Do not attempt to loosen a jammed/blocked cutter

• The blades must be checked regularly for wear and
have them resharpened. Blunt blades overload the

• Store idle power tools out of the reach of chil-

hands of untrained users.
m Warning! This power tool generates an electro-
magnetic field during operation. This field can impair
active or passive medical implants under certain cir-
cumstances. In order to prevent the risk of serious
or deadly injuries, we recommend that persons with
medical implants consult with their physician and the
manufacturer of the medical implant prior to operating
the power tool.
m Warning! In case of extended working periods, the
operating personnel may suffer circulatory disturbanc-
es in their hands (vibration white finger) due to vibra-
tions.
Raynaud's syndrome is a vascular disease that caus-
es the small blood vessels on the fingers and toes to
cramp in spasms. The affected areas are no longer
supplied with sufficient blood and therefore appear ex-
tremely pale.
The frequent use of vibrating products can cause nerve
damage in people whose circulation is impaired (e.g.
smokers, diabetics).
If you notice unusual adverse effects, stop working im-
mediately and seek medical advice.
