Make sure that there is always enough liquid in the connected saline bag because otherwise continuous fl ushing cannot be
guaranteed and this may lead to the patient access port becoming clogged. If a new saline bag is needed, the roller/sliding
clamps of the pressure monitoring set should be closed before removing the old bag. To connect a new saline bag, follow the
illustrations in section 7.2, page 48 – Connecting a pressure monitoring set with fi lling and irrigation system to a
saline bag (DPT-6003 & DPT-9003).
Every hour and after each rapid fl ushing, check that a pressure of 300 mmHg is applied to the connected saline bag, as
otherwise no continuous fl ushing is ensured and this can cause the patient access port to become clogged.
