Connecting a pressure monitoring set with fi lling system to a saline bag (DPT-6003 & DPT-9003)
Please note that the instructions in section 7.2 are only applicable for pressure monitoring sets with fi lling and irrigation system and pres-
sure transducer types DPT-6003 or DPT-9003. Pressure monitoring sets with pressure transducer types DPT-6009 or DPT-9009 should

only be used with syringe pumps (see section 7.3, page 49 – Connecting a pressure monitoring set with fi lling line to a syringe
(DPT-6003/6009 & DPT-9003/9009)).

The pressure monitoring set is not approved for the administration of medicinal products and/or other liquid media
(e.g. contrast media) because these may damage the components of the pressure monitoring set, meaning that the basic
safety and essential performance characteristics are not guaranteed. The use of 0.9% saline solution (possibly heparinised)
to fulfi l the intended use is permitted.
If the reservoir plunger is in an open position upon delivery, the pressure monitoring set must not be used and must be
disposed of because the sterility of the device cannot be guaranteed (see section 21, page 65 – Disposal). Before fi lling
the pressure monitoring set, check that the reservoir is in a closed position.
