When fi lling the pressure monitoring set, make sure that no more than 50 mmHg pressure is applied to the connected saline bag
because otherwise tiny air bubbles can form inside the pressure monitoring set, which may negatively affect the pressure transmis-

sion and cause an air embolism in the patient's vascular system. It is always recommended to gravity fi ll the pressure monitoring set
to prevent the formation of tiny air bubbles.

Connecting a pressure monitoring set with fi lling line to a syringe (DPT-6003/6009 & DPT-9003/9009)
Please note that the instructions in section 7.3 are only applicable for pressure monitoring sets with fi lling line and for pressure transducer of

Follow the instructions below to correctly prime the pressure monitoring set.
Air pockets in the pressure monitoring set negatively affect the signal transmission and can lead to an air embolism inside the
patient's vascular system. All the components of a pressure monitoring set must be completely primed with isotonic saline solution
and free of air bubbles before the pressure monitoring set is connected to a patient access port. Any remaining air pockets in the
pressure monitoring set must be loosened using the rapid fl ushing function of the pressure monitoring set and/or by carefully tap-
ping the affected components and then fl ushing the air pockets out of the pressure monitoring set. Moreover, throughout the entire
duration of use of the pressure monitoring set, it must be ensured that all the components are free of air pockets. To do this, follow
the illustrations and instructions in section 8.
