3.11 Disposing of the wheelchair

If the wheelchair is to be scrapped, the current, local instructions for waste disposal
must be followed.
Only generally known materials are used for the construction of the wheelchair. At the
time of its construction, waste-disposal facilities existed for these, and no special risks
were known for the people carrying out the scrapping work.
Warning!
The battery unit present in the wheelchair should be regarded as
chemical waste and disposed of as such.
The batteries can be fully recycled.
