Check clutch and fan

The spider of the clutch is subject to wear and must be checked regularly.
In this area, there are also other maintenance activities that need to be taken into account at the same
intervals.
1 Ensure that all prerequisites for maintenance operation have been met.

Attach the hoist to the lifting lugs (1) of the engine.
3 Loosen the 4 nuts (2) on the intermediate flange and pull it off axially together with the motor.
4 Check both coupling halves (3+5) and the spider (4) for damage (e.g. cracks in the spider) and wear,
replace if necessary.
5 Visual inspection of the pump fan (6). In case of visible damage, replacement is urgently required. You
can obtain support for this from our Elmo Rietschle service department

The installation is carried out in reverse order. Ensure that the two halves of the coupling are centred
correctly.

Media Lines

WARNING
Lines, hoses, pipes, valves and connections must be checked for damage (leaks) at regular intervals.
The following instructions must be observed when carrying out maintenance and repair work on media lines:
• Before starting work on the media lines, the system must be depressurised and secured against being
switched on again. Residual energy must be dissipated or discharged. Residual liquids in media lines
must be drained off.
