If safety devices have to be dismantled or modified, they must be refitted, adjusted and tested imme-
diately after completion of the maintenance and servicing work and before the pump is started.

After this, a qualified electrician may carry out work on the pump, taking into account the 5 safety
rules.
Once the work has been completed, the pump may be put back into operation after a visual inspection.
