Danger to life due to electric shock / Measures in case of damage to the
electrical installation
Damage to the electrical installation and contact with live parts can be life-threa-
tening.
The following measures are therefore mandatory :
¾ In the event of damage to the electrical installation, switch off the pump im-
mediately and notify the responsible office.
¾ A repair by a qualified electrician must be arranged.
Danger to life due to unexpected start-up / countermeasures
The following steps are mandatory when preparing for maintenance and servi-
cing activities :
¾ Switch off the pump and all attached assemblies.
¾ Disconnect the pump from the supply voltage and proceed according to the
five safety rules (VDE105).
¾ Disconnect the pump from the air supply.
Fire and danger to life due to insufficient distances to neighbouring parts
If the pump is enclosed, minimum distances from the product must be maintai-
ned to prevent potential fires.
Information on minimum distances can be found in the chapter 6.
Danger to life due to arcing and creepage path formation when disconnec-
ting plug connections
Always switch off the power supply before disconnecting any plug-in connec-
tions.
Danger to life due to defective, dismantled and manipulated protective devi-
ces
The pump may only be operated if all safety and protective devices are fully pre-
sent and functional!
Faulty safety and protective devices can lead to dangerous situations!
For this reason
¾ switch off the pump immediately.
¾ secure against restarting and
¾ disconnect from air supply and electric current!
Risk of injury from slipping, tripping and falling
The operator of the pump is responsible for traffic safety. If operating fluids
escape from the pump, the areas must be cordoned off accordingly, marked and
suitable measures taken.
Risk of injury due to stored residual energies
The occurrence of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical residual energies on the
pump after actuating the control element for stopping in an emergency or after
switching off the pump must be observed!
