6.3.9. Oil filling high pressure pump
Remove the oil- level gauge.
Fill the engine crankcase with oil until the oil-level comes up the middle of the gauge (oil: technical data).
Check the oil-level on the basis of the marks on the oil-level gauge. Place back the oil-level gauge.
6.3.10. Carry away used oil
- Pour the tapped oil in a can.
- Deliver the tapped oil by your dealership or at the proper authorities.
6.3.11. Engine
Check the engine for loose parts, leaks.
Check the oil level with the oil gauge. When the oil level has gone down too much, or contamination of the
oil is found, this must be replaced before continuing the works.
Check that the intake opening is not blocked.
Check the filter for extreme contamination and clean / replace it if necessary.
Check the filter for contamination and clean / replace it if necessary.
Notice: The engine crankcase has on both sides a drain plug, which apply that:
- oil may only be drained by way of the drain plug, which distinguish itself by a bent effluent pipe towards
under.
- Never try to remove oil along the backside.
This can end up in the nearby wiring and effect the machine harmful and even put is out of company.
6.3.12. Fuel tank
Check for damage or leakage and if the findings are negative, have the tank repaired / replaced.
Regularly check the tank for contamination.
6.3.13. Air filter
The air filter is mounted near the fuel tank of the engine. Unscrew first the lid of the air filter.
A dirty air filter blocks the air flow to the carburettor.
To prevent disturbances of the carburettor, the air filter must be cleaned regularly.
The filter has to be cleaned often, when the engine is being used in a extreme dusty environment.
Clean the filter never with gasoline or solvents.
Pay attention: let the engine never turn without an air filter, this can lead to accelerated wear of the
engine.
6.3.14. Battery
At electrically driven machine, a battery is present. Check the battery on good connections / possible wear
and whether the battery needs to be recharged. If the idling battery voltage drops below: 12.6 V (or if stored
/ not used during 6 months), this must be recharged. This can happen by means of a trickle charger, stand-
ard charger or workhouse charger. Reloading need to be done by a qualified technician.
Caution: Ventilate sufficiently when reloading battery, avoid risk of sparks (no smoking), care for a good
electrical connection of the charger & the battery!
