10 Maintenance and cleaning
Scheduled maintenance and cleaning are prerequisites for a long service life and trouble-free operation.
Electric shock caused by damaged or improperly installed cables
The use of damaged or improperly installed cables may result in a potentially fatal electric shock.
► Check all live cables and connections for proper installation and damage.
► Have any damaged, deformed, or worn parts replaced by a qualified electrician only.
10.1 Maintenance and cleaning intervals
The specified intervals are standard values and refer to single-shift operation. We recommend recording the
inspections. The date of the inspection, the detected defects and the name of the inspector must be observed.

11 Faults and troubleshooting
The device can display error messages after diagnostics or during operation. If an error occurs, it is stored
in the <Logbook> submenu. If an error occurs, one of these error messages is added to the actual value
display. Use the <◄ ►> arrow buttons to switch to the respective actual value displays. A new diagnostic
process can be started with the <OK> button. A relay box can be purchased; it switches the device in
the event of active errors. With the help the service software, select the errors that trigger the switching of
the relay. The relay box is a potential-free NC contact and NO contact. The signal can be used as an error
information or for the emergency stop function.
► Observe the documentation for the welding components.
► Contact your retailer or ABICOR BINZEL in the event of questions or problems.

► Check the device, power supply, and gas hoses for damage and
have them replaced by ABICOR BINZEL service personnel if
necessary.
► Clean the device with a dry cloth.
► Have the device recalibrated by ABICOR BINZEL service personnel
in order to fulfill the warranty conditions.

Faults and troubleshooting
Password/password entry has errors.
Input pressure is not in the required
range.
Shielding gas escapes uncontrolled
from a leak in the area between the
device outlet and the closed solenoid
valve in the wire feeder. This error can
occur only if there is no shunt signal
(no welding).
Error with internal sensor system is
present.
Voltage is not in the required range.
Cause
► Re-enter the password.
► Determine the cause and observe
the required input pressure range.
The pressure regulating unit should
allow at least as much inlet
pressure as the maximum flow of
the device (30 liter, 1–6 bar).
► Check the connections for
a proper fit.
► Replace defective seals.
► Contact the ABICOR BINZEL
service team. Send the device
for troubleshooting to
ABICOR BINZEL.
► Check the power supply and
power supply cable; supply the
required input voltage.

Troubleshooting
