Transporting and setting up the machine
4.1 Installation site
The machine is a table-top unit. The installation site must
meet the following requirements:
– Stable base with a level and even surface (see chapter
3.1 for weight of machine).
– There must be at least 30 cm of free working space at
the sides, in front of and behind the machine.
– The mains connection at the rear of the machine must
be easily accessible at all times to enable it to be
stopped in an emergency.
– Easily accessible electricity connection in the vicinity.
– The machine must be set up according to ergonomic
principles as a sitting or standing workstation with ade-
quate lighting.
Prerequisites for the operation with feeder:
– There must be at least 50 cm between the
wire storage and the feeder entry so that the
wires can be transported safely.
– The wires to be fed should be arranged in the
same way in the ladder supply as in the feed-
ing tubes to avoid crossing of the wires.
4.2 Transporting the machine
► Always wear work shoes with foot protection
when transporting the machine.
► Take into account the weight of the machine
(see chapter 3.1). If necessary, use a transport aid.
► To lift the machine, reach under the housing with both
hands.
► To prepare the machine for shipment (e.g. for servicing),
use the transport packaging.
4.3 Unpacking the delivery
► Please check the delivery for completeness (for scope
of delivery, see chapter 4.4).
► Store away the transport packaging.
► Ensure that the operating instructions are accessible to
operating staff at all times.

4.4 Scope of delivery
– Cutting machine CUTFIX PRO
– Multiple feeder CUTFIX PRO FEEDER (optional)
– Mains connection cable (10 A, 250 V)
– PC connection cable
– USB stick with software (Cutfix PRO Manager)
– Operating instructions
4.5 Installing the mains connection
► Set up the machine at the intended location.
► Insert the mains connection cable into the mains socket
(Figure 3.2, 17) of the machine and connect it to the
power supply.
Risk of injury from cables and wires ly-
ing around!
Cables lying around are a trip hazard and
can be crushed or kinked.
► Lay the mains connection cable so that
there is no risk of tripping.
► Also pay attention to this every time you
change the location of the machine.
► Also place the wires to be processed in
such a way that there is no risk of tripping.
► Place a collection container for the cut wires to the right
of the machine.
4.6 Connecting to a computer or network
► Connect the machine to a computer via a USB cable
(Figure 3.2, 13).
Or:
► Connect the machine to a network via an Ethernet cable
(Figure 3.2, 11).
