4 Transporting and setting up the machine

4.1 Installation site

The installation site must meet the following requirements:
– Stable base with a level and even surface (for weight of
the machine see chapter 3.1)
– At least 30 cm of free working space to either side and
in front of the machine
– Sufficient room for the wire-end ferrule reel
– Easily accessible electricity connection in the vicinity

4.2 Transporting the machine

► Always wear work shoes with foot protection
when transporting the machine.
Cutting scraps can be spread throughout the en-
tire interior of the machine during transportation,
and result in a significant amount of required
cleaning work.
► Always empty the waste tray before transpor-
tation.
► Take the weight of the machine into account, see chap-
ter 3.1. If necessary, use a transport aid.
► To move the machine, always lift it by the base plate.
► To prepare the machine for shipment (e.g. for a service
case), use the transport packaging.
4.3 Unpacking the delivery
► Please check the delivery for completeness (for scope of
delivery, see chapter 4.4).
► Store the transport packaging.
► Ensure that the operating instructions are accessible to
users at all times.
4.4 Included in delivery
– Automatic stripper and crimper
– Reel holder with mounting screws
– Mains connection cable (10 A, 250 V)
– Operating instructions
4.5 Connecting and switching on the machi-
ne
► Set up the machine at the intended location.
► Insert the mains plug into the mains connection socket
of the machine and connect it to the power supply, see
Figure 3.2, 12.
► Switch on the machine using the On/off switch, see Fig-
ure 3.2, 10.
