Checking the oil level
The oil level must be checked every 5 working hours of the compressor.
The oil level must be between the minimum and the maximum shown on
the oil level indicator (a).
Note that an excessive quantity of oil can cause infiltrations in the cylinders
and leave deposits on the valves while too low a level prevents proper
lubrication and could cause engine seizure.
If the oil level is not within the minimum and maximum limits top up or
drain as described in "Changing the lubricating oil".
Changing the lubricating oil
The lubricating oil must be changed every 1000 working hours or annually.
To change the oil proceed as described:
- position a recipient under the drain plug (e) so that the oil flows into the
exhausted oil recipient (recipient capacity of at least 2,5 litres required);
- open the air vent (d);
- loosen the top-up plug (c);
- remove the plug (b) and drain all the oil;
- replace the plug (b);
- open the top plug (c);
- fill the oil sump with 1,8 litres of oil from top oil plug (see "Oil table");
- close the air vent (d);
- close the oil top plug (c);
- switch on the compressor and run it depressure area for 30 seconds;
- switch off the compressor and remove the plug from the power socket;
- check the oil level (a); if the oil level is not within the allowed limits top up
or drain.

Schmierölkontrolle
Der Ölstand muss alle 5 Betriebsstunden kontrolliert werden.
Der Ölstand muss zwischen der Mindest- und Höchstmarkierung der
Ölstandsanzeige (a) liegen.
Es wird darauf hingewiesen, dass bei einem Überschuss an Schmieröl
dieses in die Zylinder eindringen und sich an den Ventilen ablagern kann,
während bei zu wenig Öl keine einwandfreie Schmierung möglich ist und
es zum Festfressen der Zylinder kommen kann.
Sollte der Ölstand nicht innerhalb der vorgesehenen Grenzbereiche liegen,
Schmieröl nachfüllen oder ablassen wie in Abschnitt „Schmierölwechsel"
beschrieben.
Schmierölwechsel
Das Schmieröl muss nach 1000 Betriebsstunden bzw. jährlich gewechselt
werden.
Für den Ölwechsel wie hier beschrieben vorgehen:
- eine Wanne unter das Ablassventil (e) stellen, damit das Öl in die
Altölwanne fließt (Fassungsvermögen der Wanne min. 2,5 Liter);
- den Luftentlüftungsstopfen (d) öffnen;
- die Füllkappe (c) lockern;
- die Kappe (b) öffnen und das gesamte Öl abfließen lassen;
- die Kappe (b) wieder aufsetzen;
- die Füllkappe (c) abnehmen;
- über die Füllöffnung die Ölwanne mit 1,8 l Öl füllen (siehe Abschnitt
„Tabelle für die richtige Ölwahl");
- den Luftentlüftungsstopfen (d) schließen;
- die Füllkappe (c) wieder aufsetzen;
- den Kompressor einschalten und 30 Sekunden lang im Leerlauf laufen
lassen;
- den Kompressor ausschalten und den Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen;
- den Ölstand kontrollieren (a); sollte dieser nicht dem vorgesehenen
Ölstand entsprechen, Öl nachfüllen oder ablassen;
