Configuring the software
Area tree
"Enable Area Edition" activates an area tree for this installation.
•
New:Creates a new area
•
Edit: Edits the selected area in the area tree
•
Delete: Deletes the selected area
•
Up: Moves the selected area up, respecting its level
•
Down: Moves the selected area down, respecting its level
•
Update: Saves all the areas created and closes the Area Edi-
tion
•
Cancel: Closes the Area Edition without saving changes
made.
Configuring the operation panels
Select a unit from the units table by clicking the relevant row. The
row of the selected unit will be displayed in a darker colour.
The operation panels display additional information concerning
the selected unit.
The Operation Panels area has the following options for packa-
ged units:
•
Setting: Adjusts the operation parameters of the selected in-
door unit.
•
Timer: Configures the timer of each unit.
•
Unit Configuration: Parameters that define each unit and
refrigerant circuit.
The Operation Panels area has the following options for water
chillers:
•
Setting: Adjusts the operation parameters of the selected
water chiller.
•
Timer: Configures the timer of each water chiller.
Unit Configuration: Parameters that define each water chi-

ller and refrigerant circuit.
•
System Status: Diagram of the selected refrigerant cycle.
Unit configuration
Click the "Unit Configuration" option to select it:
Data should be entered in the fields that are not shaded.
The shaded fields indicate data that is automatically detected by
means of the H-Link transmission.

The areas created contain indoor units. See the following chapter
if you want to select to which area each of the units belongs.
•
System Status: Diagram of the selected refrigerant cycle.
•
Auto Cool/Heat: Operation parameters of the optional
function for automatic selection of the operation mode of the
selected unit's refrigerant cycle.
•
Cold Draft: In VRF systems, when load is very low and only
few units are working in a system, it is possible that dischar-
ge air temperature is reduced below comfort value. With this
new option HITACHI improves comfort for these situations by
setting unit to Thermo OFF when discharge air temperature is
below comfort temperature and set unit again to Thermo ON
when temperature will be again inside comfort range.
N O T E
• In both cases, only the Unit Configuration option is part of the
configuration process.
