MACHINE INSTALLATION
i
The installation must be carried out exclusively by a qualified specialist in compliance with
valid laws and according to the local regulations, technical requirements, and standards.
4.1
Preparation for installation
•
Place the machine on an even and stable surface.
i
•
Make sure that the machine is on a water-resistant surface in case of water spillage
or leakage.
•
Never place the machine on hot surfaces.
4.2
Electrical connection
•
Make sure that the local main voltage supply corresponds to the information given on
the type plate on the front panel of the espresso machine.
•
Make sure that you use the correct power plug corresponding to your country.
•
Plug the machine into a grounded socket only and do not leave it unattended.
i
•
Do not roll or bend the power cord.
•
Do not use an extension cord / do not use a multiple socket.
4.3
Water supply connection
Important
Ensure that the fixed water connection of your machine is connected to a potable water
supply having an operating pressure at least 100 kPa (1 bar) and does not exceed 200 kPa.
i
We recommend using a pressure regulator and a shut-off valve in case the operating
pressure exceeds 200 kPa (2 bar) or frequently fluctuates.
The shut-off valve should be easily accessible, so that the water flow may be stopped at
any time. Make sure that the shut-off valve is closed or turned off when the machine is
not in use to prevent any possible water leakage.
i
The machine is delivered in the water tank mode by default.
