d) Play an Audio File Stored on the PC
• Select the desired audio file in list Ç.
• Click on button "
" (" PLAY") to play the file.
• To interrupt/stop playback click on button "
e) Convert a Compressed Audio File into WAV
Format
The audio file transmitted to the PC still is in the storage-capacity
saving file format used for the Digital Voice Recorder (only by this
the maximum recording time of more than 8 or 16 hours can be
obtained).
This format can only be played on the PC by means of the "MSC
Voice Manager".
Therefore, it can be converted into the customary PC-WAV format.
Please observe that the file size easily can be multiplied
by 10! Make sure that there is enough free storage
capacity on the hard disk.
• Select the desired audio file in list Ç.
• Click on button "
" (" CONVERT"). The SP/ LP audio file is
converted into a customary WAV audio file which can be played
and further processed with other PC programs.

8. Recording
a) General
• First, connect the Digital Voice Recorder with the desired devices
(microphone, headphones, etc.).
• Switch the device on (keys " II" or "REC/ PAUSE")
• Select one of the 4 files via the "FILE/ REPEAT" key. You can use
for example the first file "A" for up to 99 private single recordings,
file "B" for up to 99 business single recordings. Under "C" and
"D" you can store further 99 single recordings each.
• If in one file, more than 99 single recordings are made, all further
recordings are stored in the next file.
• Press the " II" key during recording to indicate the residual time
available for recording.
• Press the "
" key during recording to divide the recording in
several parts ("Index"). The respective parts of the recording are
treated like several single recordings (max. 99 per file A/ B/ C/ D).
• You can make max. 99 single recordings per
file (01- 99). If more than 396 single record-
ings (4* 99= 396) are made (e.g. also by
many subdivisions of one single recording!),
the display indicates "FULL" (see right) and
no further recording is possible.
