Flanges should be provided with suited slots
to accommodate the wires.
During the assembling use a suspension ring
fastened to the column pipe, to avoid
dropping the pump in the well in case of hoist
failure or chain breaking .
5.1 Installation of cable clamp duct SS6
The 6-inch submersible pumps are available in two
variants, differing in the method of fixing the cable
clamp duct, described below:
- pump version A
- pump version B
Version A:
1. Lay down the cables.
2. Slide the duct fins under one of the two tie
rods.
3. Fold the other 2 fins to help insert them under
the opposite tie rod.
4. Use a screwdriver to help insert the fins under
the tie rod. Use a rubber-headed mallet to help
insert the fins and position them correctly.
5. Align the cable cover.
6. With the aid of the rubber-headed mallet,
flatten the shape of the fins so that the duct is
positioned close to the pump.
7. When coupling to Star/Delta motors, follow the
same procedure for the second duct supplied.
NB: do not loosen the pump's tie rods to facilitate
operation, this risks misalignment of the hydraulic
stages and consequent malfunction or blockage. Take
care not to cut the cables during the above operations.
Version B:
1. Insert the base under two tie rods with the aid
of a screwdriver (Fig1a-1b).
2. Lay down the motor cables (Fig2).
3. Lay the duct over the cables (Fig2).
4. Secure the closing bracket (Fig3).
5. Tighten the self-locking nuts (Fig3).

6. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
ATTENTION!
ALWAYS RESPECT THE SAFETY
REGULATIONS!!
Electrical installation must be carried out by an
expert, authorised electrician, who takes on all
responsibility.
Attenersi scrupolosamente alle istruzioni del
costruttore del motore e delle apparecchiature
elettriche.
THE
CORRECTLY
EARTHED!!
Always switch off the mains power supply before
working on the electrical or mechanical part of the
system and make sure it cannot be switched on
again accidentally.
–
We recommend to install upstream the motor a
safety switch to protect the motor against voltage
drop or overload.
–
Refer to voltage data on motor nameplate for its
correct sizing.
–
Leave 2 or 3 meters of cable more in case the
terminal connection should be changed.
