07) Return the central screw and both washers to their original
position and tighten with a tightening torque of 180 NM.
08) Use a suitable hoist to reinsert the tong head into the tong
rim.
09) Tighten the screw with a suitable tool
(wrench size 19 mm), new toothed lock washer A12.5 (e.g.
Probst Art.20460007) and a tightening torque of 85 NM.
Required tools:
Suitable tool for loosening M12 and M24 screws
Suitable tool for tightening a torque with max. 180 NM
Threadlocker Loctite 243 Medium strength or equivalent other threadlocker
Loctite SF7063 surface cleaner or equivalent surface cleaner without film formation
Clean cloth for degreasing
IMPORTANT:
It is important for the safe operation of the SVZ-UNI-VARIO Shaft Relocation Tongs that the central
screw is checked annually and re-secured if necessary.
