Operation No. 1 – 11
(after disassembly of pulse unit)
Due to a possible microleagage of oil from the pulse unit, it could be
necessary for refill the unit between the regular overhaul intervals.
The frequency of this procedure depends on the type of application,
number of cycles, tightening time etc. A indication of too little oil is
decreased torque and increased pulse frequency.
After disassembly of pulse unit, fill with oil according to operation No.
1 – 5 below. Run the machine in a vice for 10 seconds according to
operation No. 5. Then continue according to operation No. 7 – 11.
Oil : 22 cSt / 40 o C (ISO VG22)
Operation No. 6 – 11
To refill the pulse unit
Keep the pulse unit at normal room temperature.
Note Before the refill : Let the bubbles in the oil fade away.
Check that there are no bubbles in the oil and that the pulse
unit is completely full (100 %) before reducing the oil
volume according to operation No. 11.

The Oil Filling Kit is composed of Atlas Copco Hydraulic Oil for
ErgoPulse (50 ml) and a syringe (1 ml). Ordering No. : 4081 0121 90
