Automated thermal disinfection (optional)
The reusable secretion canister and the lid for reusable secretion canister (without overflow
protection) can also be autoclaved for 20 minutes at 121 °C.
Reassembly
1. Fix the overflow protection in the lid for reusable secretion canister (see Fig. 29)
2. Put the ball in the overflow protection.
3. Connect the lid for reusable secretion canister with the reusable secretion canister and
connect the reusable secretion canister system to the device (see section 4.2.1).
Replace the reusable secretion canister system if it is used and disinfected frequently, after 30
autoclaving processes at the latest, or if there are visible damages or functional restrictions, or if
the patient changes.

External canister „Bag"
Preparation before processing
Disconnect the disposable liner "OneWay" and dispose of it as described in section 4.3.3, step 1-6.
Cleaning
1. Rinse the external canister "Bag" under running water under usage of a lint-free cloth.
2. Let the external canister "Bag" dry.
Manual Disinfection (optional)
1. Immerse external canister "Bag" in the disinfectant solution. Use disinfectants for
immersion disinfection according to section 5.1 and observe the manufacturer´s
instructions.
2. Rinse external canister "Bag" thoroughly and let it dry.
Automated thermal disinfection (optional)
The external canister "Bag" can also be autoclaved for 20 minutes at 121 °C.
Reassembly
1. Connect an new disposable liner "OneWay" to the external canister "Bag".
2. Connect external canister "Bag" to the holder for external canister "Bag" (see section
4.2.3).
Replace replacing the external canister "Bag" if it is used and disinfected frequently, after 30
autoclaving processes at the latest, or if there are visible damages or functional restrictions, or if
the patient changes.
