5 Maintenance
5.1 General information
Health risks due to handling of infectious or pathogenic germs and
Infectious and pathogenic germs in the aspirate cause health risks.
• Wear suitable disposable gloves while doing so.
• The reuse of bacterial filters for multiple patients is prohibited for hygiene and
safety reasons!
• For each new patient, processing by ASSKEA GmbH or by an authorized service
partner of ASSKEA GmbH is strictly required!
• After each aspiration procedure, all components that have come into contact
with the aspirate must be cleaned or disposed of.
• Disinfections can be done optional.
• The aspirate and the parts contaminated with aspirate must be disposed of
properly.
Damage of the device due to improper cleaning agents
• Do not use solvent-based cleaning agents for cleaning.
• To avoid damage or deface plastic parts of the components do not use solvent-
based disinfectants.
Follow the instructions for use provided by the manufacturers of the
disinfectants used, particularly concerning the compatibility with materials and
surfaces as well as the concentration information and residence time.
Following disinfectants can be used: "Sekusept
disinfection and "Incidin
• Frequent cleaning and disinfection procedures may result in minor
discolorations of the plastic components of the housing. However these do not
affect the function of the device.
Health risks due to handling of disinfectants
• The use of appropriate protective clothing during disinfection is recommended.
• Follow the disinfectant manufacturer's instructions.
Possible bodily injury due to electric shock
• Switch off the device prior to cleaning.
• Disconnect the power supply unit by unplugging it from the mains supply.
Subsequently disconnect the power supply unit from the socket for the power
supply of the ASSKEA proVisio
Cleaning and optional disinfection of the device and the accessories do not affect the expected
service life.
