3.3 Product properties

The ASSKEA proVisio ®
aspiration device for mobile and stationary use.

and has a max flow rate of max. 30 l/min ± 2 l/min
(see section 8 "Technical data").
The ASSKEA proVisio ®
supplied power supply unit, which can also be used to recharge the battery.
After 5 minutes of operation, the device switches off automatically. It is recommended to leave
the device switched off for 5 minutes. However, the device can be switched on again
immediately, as needed. Moreover, overheating protection prevents the battery from
overheating by interrupting the charging process if the temperature of the battery is too high
(e.g., due to unfavorable environmental conditions).
After it is switched on, the vacuum generator generates a vacuum, which is used to aspirate
secretion (via a sterile aspiration catheter). The aspirate is directed away from the patient and
collected in the secretion canister. If the secretion canister is full, the aspiration is stopped by
means of overflow protection integrated into the lid of the secretion canister.
The desired suction setting can be selected by pressing the buttons on the control panel (Fig. 1(B)
and Fig. 2(B), see section 2.2.2). The vacuum connection is established between the aspirator and
secretion canister.
The device is charged or operated via the supplied 12 V power supply unit (Fig. 1(E) and Fig. 2(E)).
