15. Trouble-shooting and service

The following table will help you to determine and rectify the reasons for possible problems. If you cannot rectify the
fault with the aid of this table, please contact:

We can either give you the name and address of an authorised customer service company or repair the heater oursel-
ves. In the latter case, please send in the heater (at your cost and risk) with details of the problem and a copy of the
sales invoice.

Action
open the main water valve / the shut-off valve
fit the special CLAGE jet regulator
check the water flow pressure
remove any dirt from the filter, valves and/or taps
check the technical data
remove any dirt / increase the flow water pressure
close other taps
open the shut-off valve further
check the electric supply
have the fault rectified by a technician and reset the
circuit breaker / safety thermal cut-out
replace heating element (by authorized technician)
check the supply voltage (2/PE 400 V - MH/MDH 7
only)
check installation
adjust the water flow (see fig. 7)
open the shut-off valve, check water pressure
remove dirt from the inlet and outlet pipes
stabilise the water flow pressure
avoid using other taps in the same circuit
(i.e. toilets, washing machines)
check the supply voltage
adjust the flow either at the tap, the valve or the
flow adjustment screw
measure the temperatures and flow rate and compare
with the technical data, check the power supply
