6. Trouble-Shooting

Cause
The plug for the mounting unit is not
connected properly. (Appears when
START s is pressed).
The temperature measurement
mechanism is uncalibrated or there is
an error in calibration.
Appears during start-up mode together
with a long beep.
Defect in the pressure system.
Appears, when the pre-set pressure is
not reached within 25 seconds.
Formation of gas in the mounting
cylinder.
Appears, if the actual force should
exceed 65 kN.
The motor has been overloaded.
Appears, either when pressing: RAM
UP/DOWN ON or during the process.
The plug for the mounting unit is not
correctly connected.
Appears, when the pre-set temperature
is not reached within 6 minutes.
Defect in the heating system.
Mains tap supplying cooling water is
either closed or not opened sufficiently.
Filter at the water inlet is blocked. The
water is too hot.
Appears, when the cooling is
inadequate.
Insufficient water within the
Recirculation Cooling Unit. The water is
too hot.
Appears, when the cooling is
inadequate.
Defect in the cooling system.
The top closure has not been
unscrewed completely after a mounting.
Appears when RAM UP O is pressed
after a mounting.
Action
Insert the plug firmly. If message still appears,
call a Struers service technician.
Call a Struers service technician.
Call a Struers service technician.
Cool the mounting unit down completely.
Move the lower ram down.
Open the top closure.
Let the motor cool down and start the mounting
press again.
If this does not help: Call a Struers service
technician.
Re-connect the plug.
Call a Struers service technician.
Open the tap.
Clean the filter.
Fill to the correct water level. See the section:
Maintenance.
Call a Struers service technician.
Turn the top closure until it is completely free of
the threads. If this has already been done, the
problem is that the closure cannot spring free.
Hold the swivel arm down with one finger and
press RAM UP O again.
