sponds very directly and progressively to increasing control impulses.
Control of the paraglider is easily assisted by active weight shifting.
The angle of bank can be increased, stabilised or reduced at any
time by pulling on the control line. When thermalling, choose the
desired angle of bank and corresponding radius, and endeavour to
allow the glider to turn evenly in this position. The outside control line
is used to stabilise the wing tip and, in particular, the rotational speed
around the vertical axis. A harness specifi cally designed to match the
fl ying characteristics of the OMEGA 7 helps you to initialise and
stabilise turns of this type which should be as even as possible.

Accelerated fl ight
The OMEGA 7 has a low-resistance line and wing design as well as
a high aspect ratio. These all help to give it a very good glide perfor-
mance with only moderately increasing sink rates, even in accelera-
ted fl ight. The HiArc concept assists the canopy in remaining ex-
tremely stable, even in accelerated fl ight.
Bear in mind that paragliders generally become more unstable in the
uppermost speed range as a result of the low angle of attack. Moreo-
ver, stalls may become more abrupt at high speed on account of the
effects of the greater forces.
When fl ying fast into very turbulent air, fi rst release the speed bar
completely before you give the necessary control inputs with the
brakes for stabilisation of the wing. The OMEGA 7's high stability also
allows for fl ying through moderately turbulent air in accelerated
mode. Here, however, active acceleration should be carried out,
which is equivalent to an adjustment of the angle of attack by means
of the speed bar instead of the control lines:
when the angle of attack is increased (e.g. pitching back of the
wing when entering lift), the speed bar is briefl y pressed harder
when the angle of attack is decreased (e.g. shooting forward of the
wing), the speed bar is released
As a result, the pitch in the direction of fl ight is reduced to a minimum
and an optimum glide performance achieved.

fl ight».

Collapses

Asymmetric collapsing of the canopy
The OMEGA 7 features a very taut and stable canopy. With an active
fl ying technique in normal fl ying conditions, collapses can be almost
