4. Erection and Installation

Transport to be performed only by qualified transport personnel!
4.1.1

Transport of the Pump

For transport, pump inlet and outlet are closed with sheet metal covers (17) to protect the sealing sur­
faces against contamination and damage.
To prevent damage, the covers should only be removed immediately before installation of the pump
into the line and attached again in case of future transports.
The pump can be transported suspended.

For transportation use appropriate bolts.
Only the threads in the housing are to be used for transport.
Do not use the threads in the front plate and the back plate.
Take the weight of the pump from the data sheet (see information in section 8.1.1).

Danger!
If the pump is removed from the line while still hot, there is a danger of burning by flowing out convey­
ing medium. Transport the pump horizontally.
Wear suitable protective clothing.

Caution!
Loading of the pinion shaft, e.g. caused by transport cables, must be strictly avoided.

Danger!
If transported upright, the pump must be secured against tilting and slipping.
