General Safety Guidelines for Operating
Personnel
∙
Always use the personal safety equipment made avail
able to you, such as protective glasses, ear protection,
safety helmet, safety gloves, protective clothing
∙
Please wear closely fitting proper work clothes. Do not
wear jewelry. Protect long hair with a hairnet.
∙
Please wear shoes or boots with non‐slip soles.
∙
Always make sure that you have a firm and secure foot
hold.
∙
Do not use machine parts as climbing aids. When work
ing in elevated locations, always use safety‐tested climb
ing aids and operating platforms.
∙
Do not operate the line while under the influence of alco
hol, drugs, or medicine with comparable effects.
∙
Keep your work area neat. Lack of order will increase the
risk of accidents.
∙
Please be fully alert to any danger while staying in the
hazardous line / machine area.
∙
Only perform work for which you are authorized and for
which you have been properly trained.
∙
Do not allow unauthorized individuals to enter the line /
machine area.

General Safety Guidelines for the Operation of
the Line / Machine
∙
Please use only suitable auxiliary equipment to operate
the line / machine.
∙
For proper disassembly and assembly, use Barmag
erection aids and tools.
∙
Use only suitable lifting devices. Prior to lifting the equip
ment, check weight, location of the center of gravity, and
fastening points.
Also observe the special instructions in Chapters
"Assembly" and "Disassembly".
