Heating the Pump
Start-up of the pump must be carried out by the Barmag pump service or by properly trained personnel.
It is essential to preheat the pump sufficiently. The (clean) pump should have been maintained at oper
ating temperature for at least an hour before it is put into use. If a polymer-filled pump is to be heated
up, ensure that no hard cracking occurs, that the conveying medium retains its lubricating qualities and
that it can flow freely.

Caution!
At Barmag, for initial start-up of the pump, the bearings are provided with a temperature-stabilize type
of grease. Due to the time limit on thermal stability, the following heating times prior to start-up of the
pump should not be exceeded:
