Cleaning
7.2.1
General
The pump or the pump components contaminated are cleaned either in a thermal process or by means
of a solvent.
With some polymers, e.g. PE and PP, mechanical cleaning is also possible by careful removal of the
soft polymer.

Danger!
The user of the equipment is obliged to ensure that no danger to personnel arises during cleaning, ei
ther due to the cleansing agents used or from the conveying medium itself.
The solvent must not be allowed to react with the pump components. If necessary, contact Barmag for
assistance.
Observe the instructions supplied by the manufacturers of the cleaning unit.
The cleaning temperature must nopt be allowed to exceed 450 °C.
After cleaning, ensure that all screws and seals removed for cleaning are replaced by new ones.
