Even in the de‐energized state some parts may still carry
current (e.g. service outlets, lighting, humidity sensors, con
trol cabinet heating systems, parts of the kinetic back‐up
system, supplies from external systems, interlocking cir
cuits, UPS systems, batteries, accumulators, capacitors,
etc.)!
Voltages produced by still rotating parts have to be consid
ered.
Capacitors, whose automatic discharge cannot be ensured,
must be discharged using suitable facilities!
Take the discharge time of the capacitors into consider
ation! Mind the risks borne by accumulators or batteries!
Plug‐in connectors must not be plugged or disconnected
under electrical voltage
The cool‐down time of heat producing electrical units such
as heaters, choppers, cooling elements, godets, motors,
pumps, heat‐transfer installations, etc. shall be observed.
The green‐yellow protective conductor must not be discon
nected, removed, or used for other purposes! After each
activity it must be checked for proper functioning!
Only genuine Barmag spare may be used. If defective elec
trical components are not replaced by genuine Barmag
parts, Barmag will not be liable for that.
When replacing components check the adjustments of the
protective and monitoring devices within the components
(e.g. maximum frequency switches of the inverters) as to
correct functioning.
The protective and monitoring devices required for safety
reasons must neither be rendered inefficient nor be ad
justed or changed in an unauthorized way. They may only
be used for the intended purpose.
Changes to circuits, components, etc., or to the software
are prohibited!
All screws at electrical connecting points must be retigh
tened prior to start‐up!
After having performed maintenance and repair the screws
of the electrical connection points in the affected areas must
be retightened.
After completion of the work check all safety and protective
devices.
All active electric equipment parts must be protected against
humidity or wetness!
For cleaning of electrical equipment it must be de‐ener
gized!
