4. Advance the wire guide through the catheter. Slightly advance and retract the wire guide to assist in gaining
access to the ureteral orifice and into the ureter.
5. Once the wire is advanced into the ureter, advance the catheter over the wire and to the desired location within
the ureter.
6. Remove the wire guide.
7. Under fluoroscopy, inject contrast media through the catheter to visualize the ureter and to determine required
intervention.
Placement without a Wire Guide
1. With the cystoscope in the bladder, locate the ureteral orifice to determine choice of catheter.
2. Flush the catheter.
3. Under direct vision, advance the catheter through the cystoscope and to the desired location within the ureter.
4. Under fluoroscopy, inject contrast media through the ureteral catheter to visualize the ureter and to determine
required intervention.
Percutaneous Placement
1. Flush the catheter.
2. With a wire guide already in place within the renal pelvis, advance the catheter over the wire guide and into the
renal pelvis.
3. Retract the wire guide to allow the tip of the catheter to form.
4. Advance the catheter to the desired location within the renal pelvis. Slightly advance and retract the wire guide
to help navigate the catheter.
5. Once the catheter is in the desired location, deliver the working wire guide of choice through the catheter.
6. Maintain access with the wire guide while removing and discarding the catheter.
HOW SUPPLIED
Supplied sterilized by ethylene oxide gas in peel-open packages. Intended for one-time use. Sterile if package is
unopened and undamaged. Do not use the product if there is doubt as to whether the product is sterile. Store in a
dark, dry, cool place. Avoid extended exposure to light. Upon removal from package, inspect the product to ensure
no damage has occurred.

POPIS PROSTŘEDKU
Přístupový katetr Kumpe je vyroben z polymeru vyztuženého splétaným drátem z nerezové oceli. Proximální konec
má ústí s koncovkou luer lock a distální konec je tvarován do úhlu. Katetr má délku 65 cm a průměr 5,0 Fr.
POZNÁMKA: Přístupový katetr Kumpe může pojmout vodicí dráty o průměru až 0,038 inch.
URČENÉ POUŽITÍ
Tyto prostředky jsou určeny pro přístup a katetrizaci močových cest, včetně níže uvedených aplikací:
• přívod kontrastní látky
• navigace vinutým ureterem
• přístup, posouvání nebo výměna vodicích drátů
KONTRAINDIKACE
Tento prostředek je kontraindikován k použití u pacientů nevhodných pro katetrizaci.
