8.3 Replacing the fixed bearing

Removing the bearing block together
with the fixed bearing
If the ball rail table is installed
vertically or at an inclined angle, the
carriage must be prevented crashing
down!
• Move the carriage to its mid-position.
• Remove the motor. 6.3 or 6.5
• Dismantle the bellows. 8.2
• If a plug is plugged into the bearing
block, disconnect it from the socket.
Loosen the socket locating set
screw (1).
• Unscrew the set screws (2) in the
slotted nut.
• Clamp the BSD screw in position. Use
plastic jaws.
• Unscrew the slotted nut (3).
• Remove the internally threaded straight
pins (4).
• Unscrew the cheese-head screws (5).
• Remove the bearing block and fixed
bearing carefully from the screw of the
BSD, keeping them perfectly straight.

• Fit plastic jaws to the vice.
• Clamp the bearing block in the vice.
The screwed ring is fixed with
Loctite 638.
• Heat the screwed ring with a hot air
blower until the adhesive starts to run
and the screwed ring can be loosened.
• Unscrew and remove the screwed ring
with a ring wrench.
• Lay the bearing block flat on a support
with a recess under the fixed bearing.
• Carefully push out the fixed bearing.
8.3 Remplacement du palier fixe
Dépose de la traverse munie du
palier fixe
Si la table sur rails de guidage est
montée verticalement ou inclinée,
prévenir la chute du plateau !
• Amener le plateau au centre.
• Déposer le moteur. 6.3 ou 6.5
• Déposer le soufflet. 8.2
• Si une fiche est branchée dans la
traverse, la retirer de la prise. Desserrer
la vis de fixation de la prise (1).
• Desserrer les vis de blocage (2) dans
l'écrou à encoches.
• Maintenir la vis à billes. Employer des
mors en plastique !
• Dévisser l'écrou à encoches (3).
• Retirer les goupilles cylindriques
taraudées (4).
• Dévisser les vis à tête cylindrique (5).
• Retirer prudemment la traverse munie
du palier fixe et de lavis de la VAB sans
la gauchir !
Dépose du palier fixe (roulement à
billes à contacts obliques) de la
traverse
• Monter des mors en plastique sur
l'étau.
• Serrer la traverse.
La bague filetée est bloquée avec de
la colle Loctite 638.
• Chauffer la bague filetée avec de l'air
chaud jusqu'à ce que la colle se liquéfie
et que la bague filetée se laisse
desserrer.
• Desserrer la bague filetée avec une clé
à ergots.
• Poser la traverse à plat sur un support
comportant un évidement sous le
palier.
• Pousser prudemment le palier fixe vers
l'extérieur.

8.3 Sostituzione cuscinetto di
vincolo assiale
Smontaggio traversa con cuscinetto
di vincolo assiale
Evitare che la tavola scivoli in
basso quando la piastra base è
posizionata inclinata o in verticale !
• Posizionare la tavola in centro.
• Smontare il motore i 6.3 o 6.5
• Smontare il soffietto 8.2
• Se una spina è inserita nella traversa,
essa deve essere estratta dalla presa.
Allentare il grano filettato (1) dalla
presa.
• Allentare i grani filettati (2) nella ghiera
a tacche.
• Bloccare la vite. Utilizzare ganasce di
plastica !
• Svitare la ghiera a tacche (3)
• Estrarre le spine cilindriche con
filettatura interna (4).
• Svitare le viti a testa cava (5).
• Estrarre con cautela la traversa con il
cuscinetto di vincolo assiale dalla vite
facendo attenzione a non inclinarla !
Smontaggio cuscinetto di vincolo
assiale (cuscinetto a contatto
obliquo) dalla traversa
• Utilizzare ganasce di plastica sulla
morsa.
• Serrare la traversa.
La ghiera filettata è bloccata con
colla Loctite 638.
• Con un riscaldatote ad aria calda,
riscaldare la ghiera filettata fino a far
liquefare la colla per consentire lo
svitamento della ghiera filettata.
• Svitare la ghiera filettata con una
chiave a perni laterali ed estrarla.
• Disporre la traversa su un supporto in
piano che possieda una cavità sotto il
cuscinetto di vincolo assiale.
• Spingere fuori con cautela il cuscinetto
di vincolo assiale.
