Assembling Appliance

To get comfortable with the juicer, assemble
and disassemble the Champion several times
following the instructions in this manual. After
you have correctly assembled all parts, you
can insert the power plug into the outlet and
switch on the juicer. Never let any hard objects
such as spoons, knives, coins, tacks, etc. get
into the juicer. Before removing any parts,
switch off the device, wait until it comes to rest,
and unplug it.
1. Attaching the Cutter
To ensure that the knives always glide well
on the axis and the cutters are not stopped
by a possible vacuum, we recommend oiling
the axis with 2-3 drops (no more) of olive or
coconut oil. This oil does not get into the juice.
Never use butter, margarine, or mineral oils.
Fill the opening of the cutter with cold water.
Pour out the water. The opening of the cutter
has a flat side; slide the cutter onto the axis so
that the flat side of the cutter opening meets
on the flat side of the axis.
To allow the opening to dry, the knife should
only be on the shaft during use. Otherwise, the
knife should be stored so that air can get into
the opening of the cutter.

2. Attaching the Body
Slide the body – feeding chute facing down
– over the cutter.
3. Attaching the Juice Outlet Unit
For juicing, use the screen; for pureeing/homo-
genising, the nylon blank.
Lay the screen or blank into the indentation
of the body, and hold in place with one hand.
With the other hand, insert and then slide the
juice outlet unit as far as it will go. A magnet is
attached to the juice outlet unit for your safety.
The motor only runs when the juice outlet unit
is pushed all the way to the back and the body
is aligned (see Point 4). The juice outlet unit
can only be attached in one direction.
