Important Safety Notes
When using electric appliances, always ensure
that the following safety precautions are
taken:
1. Carefully read all instructions.
2. Never leave the Champion Juicer unat-
tended during operation.
3. When using electric appliances around
children, extra caution and careful super-
vision are imperative. Keep small children
away from the Champion while it is run-
ning. Do not let children operate the appli-
ance.
4. Always use the food plunger to fi ll the fee-
ding chute.
5. Never allow the power cord to dangle over
the edge of a table or countertop, and
make sure that it does not touch any hot
surfaces.
6. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
7. Do not use any accessories that are not
recommended or sold by the manufac-
turer or importer. They could cause fi re,
electrical shocks, or injuries.
8. Never insert fi ngers or other objects into
the body opening while the appliance is
operating.
9. Never reach under the body or into the
feeding chute as long as the appliance is
plugged into the power outlet.
10. Never touch any moving parts.
11. Use extreme caution when touching the
cutter. The knives on it are extremely
sharp.
12. Do not use the appliance if the screen,
power cord, or power plug is damaged or
after the appliance has malfunctioned or

been damaged in any way. Send the appli-
ance in to your Champion Service Centre
(see page 2) to have it checked, repaired,
or adjusted.
13. To avoid electrical shocks, never immerse
the power cord, the power plug, or the
motor basis of the Champion Juicer into
water or other liquids. To clean the appli-
ance, simply wipe it off using a moist cloth
(see Cleaning and Maintenance, page 37).
14. Disconnect the power plug when the appli-
ance is not in use, when you are assemb-
ling or disassembling parts, and before you
clean it. Unplug it by pulling on the power
plug itself and not on the power cord.
15. Wait until the motor stops running com-
pletely before you disassemble the appli-
ance.
16. Wait until the motor stops running comple-
tely before you unplug the appliance.
17. Unplug the appliance after every use.

Read Before Use:
The Champion Juicer is equipped with a mag-
netic safety system that ensures that the mo-
tor only runs when the cutter is protected by
the body. If the motor of your juicer does not
work, check very carefully to make sure that
the body, the insert (screen or homogenising
blank), and the juice outlet unit are properly
assembled and correctly positioned (see page
34, Assembling Appliance). For safety reasons,
it is only permitted to operate the juicer when a
screen or a homogenising blank is inserted.
