Inspect flashing light

Switch on the vacuum generator.
Place the lifting device on a workpiece with a nonporous, smooth surface and apply suction to load.
WARNING
Lift the sealing lip of the suction plate slightly when the vacuum is building to simulate a leak.
The vacuum shown on the vacuum gauge will decrease. The light flashes when the vacuum falls short of –0.6 bar.

Inspecting suction hoses and clamps

Check that all suction hoses and hose clamps are securely fastened; tighten if necessary.

Check airtightness

Carry out a leak test once a month.
1. Position the suction plates on an air-impermeable and smooth surface such as a metal sheet.
2. Turn on the vacuum.
3. Apply suction to the load but do not lift (see chapter 6.5).
WARNING

1. Wait until a vacuum of approx. –0.6 bar is achieved.
2. Turn off the vacuum pump. The vacuum may not weaken by more than 0.1 bar within 5 minutes.
3. Release the load after inspection (see chapter 0).
Rectify all faults before starting up the system. Should faults occur during operation, switch off the device and rectify the
faults.
