Note 1: The higher frequency range applies at 80 MHz and 800 MHz.
Note 2: These directives may not be applicable in all cases. The propagation of electromagnetic
factors is influenced by absorption and reflection by buildings, objects and people.

The field strength of stationary transmitters such as base stations of radio telephones and
mobile land radio equipment, amateur radio stations, AM and FM radio and television stations
cannot be precisely determined theoretically in advance. A site survey is recommended to estab
lish the electromagnetic conditions as a result of stationary HF transmitters. If the field strength
determined at the site of the product 'Genium Bionic Prosthetic System 3B1 / Genium 3B1-2'
exceeds the compliance level specified above, the product 'Genium Bionic Prosthetic System
3B1 / Genium 3B1-2' has to be monitored in regards to normal operation at each place of use.
If unusual performance characteristics are noted, taking additional steps may be necessary, for
example changing the orientation or moving the product 'Genium Bionic Prosthetic System 3B1
/ Genium 3B1-2'

tion equipment and the product 'Genium Bionic Prosthetic System 3B1 / Genium 3B1-2' –

Directives and manufacturer's declaration – Recommended safe distances between
portable and mobile HF telecommunication equipment and the product 'Genium Bionic
Prosthetic System 3B1 / Genium 3B1-2'
The product 'Genium Bionic Prosthetic System 3B1 / Genium 3B1-2' is designed for operation
in an electromagnetic environment where HF interference is monitored. The customer or user of
the product 'Genium Bionic Prosthetic System 3B1 / Genium 3B1-2' can help prevent electro
magnetic interference by complying with the minimum distances between wearable and mobile
HF communication equipment (transmitters) and the product 'Genium Bionic Prosthetic System
3B1 / Genium 3B1-2', as below according to the maximum output of the communication equip
ment.

For transmitters with no maximum nominal output specified in the table above, the recommen
ded safety distance d in metres (m) can be determined using the equation in the respective
column, where P stands for the maximum nominal output of the transmitter in watts (W) accord
ing to the transmitter manufacturer's information.
