SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR
CORRECT INSTALLATION
The filter must be positioned in
such a way
- that the antiburst panel releas-
es the explosion and conse-
quent flame in a safe place, in
accordance with standard 94/9/
CE;
- that the clean air outlet (item A
in fig. 1) is made safe in accord-
ance with standard 94/9/CE.
A safe place is an outside area
where movement of personnel is
forbidden during operation of the
filter and where there are no plant
parts that can be damaged or de-
posits of inflammable materials.
If the filter is positioned inside a
building, a duct must be provid-
ed connecting the antiburst pan-
el membrane with the outside.
- This stub pipe, with a truncat-
ed-cone cross section must have
a maximum length of 0.5m,
with the base connected to the
antiburst panel having a cross
section equal to that of the
membrane (S1), and an outlet
section that is at least double
(S2). This is meant to reduce
load loss to the minimum, and
avoid combustible material from
being deposited in the duct.
- Furthermore, the resistance of
this duct with a truncated-coni-
cal cross-section must be equal
to the structural resistance of the
filter.
- Greater lengths or different
shapes of the duct are not per-
mitted, since these will involve
increased residual pressure in
the filter in case of an explo-
sion. The ducting must be fixed
correctly, and must not have
bends or reduced cross-section.
- The user/installer must consid-
er the possibility of toxic emis-
sions in case of activation of the
release device.
WARNING: if the filter is applied
on silos, and other containers,
the user/installer must protect
the additional volume using oth-
er protection systems.

Das Filter muss so positioniert wer-
den, dass
- die Berstmembran den Berstvor-
gang und folglich die Flammen-
front an einer sicheren Stelle ge-
mäß der Richtlinie 94/9/EG er-
folgen lässt;
- der Reingasauslaß (Pos. A in
Abb. 1) gemäß der Richtlinie 94/
9/EG gesichert ist.
Unter sicherem Ort versteht man
eine externe Stelle, wo dem Per-
sonal während des Filterbetriebs
der Durchgang untersagt ist und
wo sich keine Anlagenteile, die
Schaden nehmen könnten, oder
gelagerte, entzündlicher Materia-
lien befinden.
Bei der Positionierung der Filter
innerhalb von Gehäusen ist es er-
forderlich, eine Leitung vorzuse-
hen, die die Membran der Berst-
platte mit dem Freien verbindet.
- Diese Leitung muss eine Länge
von max. 0,5 m und einen ke-
gelstumpfförmigen Querschnitt
haben, wobei der Grundquer-
schnitt mit der Druckentlastungs-
membran verbunden wird, de-
ren Abmessungen so groß wie
der Querschnitt dem Membran
(S1) selbst ist, und der Ausgangs-
querschnitt mindestens doppelt
so groß ist (S2). Dadurch wer-
den die Strömungsverluste auf
das Minimum reduziert und
man vermeidet, dass das ver-
brennbare Material sich im Ka-
nal ablagert.
- Dieser Kanal mit kegelstumpf-
förmigem Querschnitt muss die
gleiche Festigkeit wie die struk-
turelle des Filters haben.
- Größere Längen oder andere
Formen der Kanalisierung sind
unzulässig, weil sie zu einer Er-
höhung des restlichen Drucks im
Filter führen, falls es zu einer
Explosion kommt. Die Kanali-
sierung muss korrekt befestigt
werden, darf keine Kurven oder
Reduzierungen des Querschnitts
aufweisen.
- Der Anwender/Installateur muss
die Möglichkeit toxischer Emis-
sionen bei der Auslösung der
Druckentlastungsvorrichtung be-
rücksichtigen.
HINWEIS: Bei der Montage des
Filters auf einem Silo oder einem
anderen Behältertyp muss der
Einbauer/Anwender das zusätz-
li-che Volumen mit anderen
Schutz-systemen in den siche-
ren Zustand bringen.

- wylot czystego powietrza (poz.
A na rys. 1) by³ zabezpieczony
zgodnie z dyrektyw¹ 94/9/CE.
Pod pojêciem bezpiecznego
miejsca rozumie siê zewnêtrzn¹
strefê, w której zabroniony jest
ruch personelu podczas pracy fil-
tra i gdzie nie ma ¿adnych ele-
mentów instalacji produkcyjnej,
które mog³yby ulec uszkodzeniu
ani sk³adów materia³ów ³atwopal-
nych. Je¿eli filtr ustawiany jest
wewn¹trz budynku, konieczne jest
zainstalowanie
przewodu
³¹cz¹cego membranê panelu
ochronnego ze œwiatem zewnêtr-
znym.
- Przewód ten powinien mieæ
d³ugoœæ maks. 0,5 m oraz pr-
zekrój œciêtego sto¿ka, przy
czym podstawa ³¹czona jest z
panelem ochronnym, którego
przekrój jest równy przekrojowi
membrany (S1), natomiast pr-
zekrój wylotu jest co najmniej
dwa razy wiêkszy (S2). Dziêki
temu straty przep³ywu bêd¹ zre-
dukowane do minimum, a po-
nadto uniknie siê odk³adania
³atwopalnego materia³u w pr-
zewodzie.
- Przewód (kana³) o przekroju
œciêtego sto¿ka musi wykazywaæ
tak¹ sam¹ wytrzyma³oœæ jak kon-
strukcja filtra.
- Wiêksze d³ugoœci lub inne
kszta³ty przewodu s¹ niedopu-
szczalne, poniewa¿ prowadz¹
do zwiêkszenia ciœnienia re-
sztkowego w filtrze, jeœli dojd-
zie do eksplozji. Przewód
(kana³) musi zostaæ prawid³owo
zamocowany i nie mo¿e posia-
daæ ¿adnych wygiêæ lub re-
dukcji przekroju.
- U¿ytkownik/instalator musi uwz-
glêdniæ mo¿liwoœæ emisji sub-
stancji toksycznych w przypadku
wyzwolenia urz¹dzenia redukcji
ciœnienia.
WSKAZÓWKA: W przypadku
monta¿u filtra na silosie lub in-
nym typie zbiornika instalator/
u¿ytkownik musi zabezpieczyæ
dodatkowy wolumen za pomoc¹

Il filtro deve essere posizionato
in modo che:
- la membrana antiscoppio sfo-
ghi lo scoppio e la conseguen-
te fiammata in luogo sicuro se-
condo la norma 94/9/CE:
- la zona di uscita aria pulita (pos.
A in fig.1) sia resa sicura come
da norma 94/9/CE.
Per luogo sicuro si intende una
zona esterna dove sia interdetto
il transito al personale durante il
funzionamento del filtro ed in cui
non siano presenti parti di im-
pianto danneggiabili o depositi
di materiali infiammabili.
Nel caso di posizionamento del
filtro all'interno di edifici, è ne-
cessario creare un condotto che
metta in collegamento la mem-
brana del pannello antiscoppio
con l'esterno.
- Tale condotto dovrà avere una
lunghezza massima di 0.5mt a
sezione tronco-conica, avente
la sezione base collegata alla
membrana di sfogo con dimen-
sione pari alla sezione della
membrana stessa (S1), e sezio-
ne d'uscita almeno doppia (S2).
Questo per ridurre al minimo le
perdite di carico, e per evitare
il deposito nel canale di mate-
ria combustibile. Inoltre tale
canale a sezione tronco-conica
dovrà avere resistenza pari a
quella strutturale del filtro. Non
si ammettono lunghezze supe-
riori o sagome diverse della ca-
nalizzazione, in quanto com-
portano un aumento della pres-
sione residua nel filtro, in caso
di esplosione. La canalizzazio-
ne deve essere correttamente
fissata, non deve presentare cur-
vature o riduzioni di sezione.
L'utilizzatore/installatore devo-
no valutare la possibilità di
emissioni tossiche in caso di in-
tervento del dispositivo di sfo-
go.
AVVERTENZA: nel caso dell'ap-
plicazione del filtro, su sili, e altri
recipienti, l'installatore/utilizzato-
re dovranno proteggere il volu-
me aggiuntivo con altri sistemi di
protezione!
