WATER - REFRIGERANT
HEAT EXCHANGER
•
The unit includes a brazed plate type
water-refrigerant heat exchanger.
In the 30EM model the heat exchanger
operates as a dry expansion evaporator
of refrigerant whereas in 30EQ units it
operates as an evaporator in the summer
cycle and as a water-cooled refrigerant
condenser in winter cycle (Fig. 11).

Check if characteristics of the water in
the refrigerant circuit are correct. If
necessary, treat water as appropriate.
Caution: in winter water frost may dam-
age the unit.
To avoid freeze-up of the water
contained in the system, one of the
following precautions must be taken
during the winter cycle:
- drain the water from the system,
using the drains in the lower part of
the unit,
or
- add the correct percentage of glycol
to the hydraulic circuit.

L'unità comprende uno scambiatore di
calore acqua-refrigerante a piastre sal-
do brasate.
Sull'unità 30EM lo scambiatore di calore
funziona come evaporatore ad espansio-
ne secca di refrigerante mentre nelle unità
30EQ funziona in ciclo estivo come evapo-
ratore e in ciclo invernale come conden-
satore di refrigerante raffreddato ad ac-
qua (fig. 11).

Controllare le caratteristiche dell'acqua
con cui il circuito viene caricato e, se ne-
cessario, effettuarne il trattamento.
Attenzione: durante l'inverno il gelo
dell'acqua può provocare danni.
Per evitare il gelo dell'acqua contenu-
ta nell'impianto, una delle seguenti pre-
cauzioni deve essere presa durante il
periodo invernale:
• drenare l'acqua dell'impianto utiliz-
zando gli appositi scarichi posti sulla
parte inferiore dell'apparecchio.
oppure
•
aggiungere la giusta percentuale di
glicole nel circuito idraulico.
