Mains connection

The power cord is not included in the scope of
delivery of the EPS 708. The power cord must
be provided by the operator and prepared for
connection to the EPS 708.

Use is only to be made of a power cord with an
adequate cross-section (e.g. Germany:
400 – 500 V = 4 mm² and 200 – 240 V = 10 mm²).

1. Route the power cord through the cable penetration
(Pos. 1).

Pay attention to the rotating field direction
(clockwise) when connecting the power cord to the
terminals L1, L2, L3 and PE.
2. Connect the power cord to terminals L1, L2, L3
and PE.
3. Tighten the union nut of the cable penetration.
4.10.3 Checking connector contacts

Connectors X5, X6, and X8 are located below the
frequency converter A11.

Check that connectors X5, X6, and X8 on frequency
converter A11 are secure.

4.11 Connection of/filling with cooling water
4.11.1 Connection of cooling water

The following description only applies to the
EPS 708 without cold water unit. This Section can
be ignored when starting up an EPS 708 with cold
water unit. Then continue with Section 4.11.2.

The customer must provide a pressure reducer
(set to 450 kPa), a safety valve and a shut-off valve
in the cooling water inlet. A coolant flow rate of
min. 14 l/min. must be ensured, in order to provide
sufficient cooling.

The customer must fit an oil separator in the cooling
water drain.
1. Connect the cooling water inlet (Pos. 1) via a hose
to the water mains.
2. Connect the cooling water return (Pos. 2) via a hose
to the waste water pipe.
