User information

2.1 Important notes
Important information on copyright, liability and
warranty provisions, as well as on equipment users
and company obligations, can be found in the separate
manual "Important notes on and safety instructions for
Bosch Diesel Test Equipment". These instructions must
be carefully studied prior to start-up, connection and
operation of the EPS 708 and must always be heeded.

instructions for Bosch Diesel Test Equipment". These
instructions must be carefully studied prior to start-up,
connection and operation of the EPS 708 and must
always be heeded.
2.3

Authorized users

Installation and/or service work is only to be performed
by qualified and trained Service personnel from Robert
Bosch GmbH or organizations commissioned by Robert
Bosch GmbH. No warranty claims will be accepted
if devices have been opened or modified by non-
authorized persons. Electrical systems and equipment
are only to be started up if they are in proper working
order (refer also to EDIS information 200108_084).
This requirement is deemed to have been fulfilled if
compliance with the rules of electrical engineering
practice is ensured on completion of modification
or service work (original inspection). This involves
the performance of testing of the type and extent
specified in the rules of electrical engineering practice
(in Germany e.g. BGV A3). In Germany, the nature and
extent of testing are specified in VDE 0701/0702 Part 1.
The corresponding legislation of the country concerned
must be observed.

2.5 Information on documentation
These instructions describe initial commissioning of
the EPS 708.
They are intended as a supplement to the EPS 708
operating instructions and must be kept and distributed
together with these.
