4.8 Fitting inlet filters
¶
Plug in the inlet filters (Pos. 1) at the connections
for the CRI/CRI piezo injected quantity in the test
compartment of the EPS 708.

The inlet filters (6x) are included in the EPS 708
accessories set.

4.9 Attaching connecting line
1 684 463 851

Attach the connecting line 1 684 463 851 to the
connector X24 in the test compartment and lay in
the oil collector.

The connecting line 1 684 463 851 is included in the
EPS 708 accessories set.

Electrical connection

DANGER – Risk of electric shock from live
parts
Even when the master switch is off, the input
terminals L1, L2, L3 are live. Contact with the
input terminals L1, L2, L3 will lead to electric
shocks, heart failure and fatal injury.

Work in the switch cabinet is only to
be performed by qualified electricians
or authorized personnel under the
supervision of a qualified electrician.

Before starting work, deactivate or
remove fuses at the mains distributor.
¶
Check that the power cord is de-energized.
¶
Cover or cordon off live parts.

The EPS 708 is only to be connected to a grounded,
symmetrical 3-phase AC network with the set local
voltage ±10 % and a mains frequency of 50/60 Hz.
!
Prior to connection, check that the rotating field
direction of the 3-phase AC network is clockwise.
Components in the EPS 708 could be damaged
by a counter-clockwise 3-phase AC network. Use a
rotating field meter for checking the rotating field.

The mains connection is to be made on the basis of
the enclosed circuit diagram.
4.10.1 Setting mains voltage
In its as-delivered condition, the EPS 708 is always set
to the highest mains voltage for safety reasons. With
the following versions, the mains voltage has to be
switched accordingly to the local mains voltage.
