4.2 Transportation, installation
!
The EPS 708 is only to be transported in the original
packaging and using a crane.
!
Observe and maintain the specified dimensions and
clearances (refer to Section 4.1).
WARNING – Risk of injury from inexpert
transportation of the EPS 708!
Inexpert transportation of the EPS 708
could lead to injuries resulting from falling or
tipping-up of the unit.

Pay attention to the center of gravity of
the EPS 708.
¶
Wear safety shoes and protective gloves.
¶
Always use suitable transportation and
lifting equipment with an adequate
loadbearing capacity.
¶
The unit is only to be transported and
installed by qualified personnel.
1. Use a fork-lift truck to move the EPS 708 into the
vicinity of the installation location.
2. Remove and dispose of the wooden packaging.
3. Release the front and rear transportation safeguards
(Pos. 2) from the freight pallet (Pos. 1). To do so,
remove the six bolts (Pos. 3) for each transportation
safeguard beneath the EPS 708.

4. EPS 708 off the wooden pallet.
5. Remove the transportation plate (refer to Fig. 2,
Pos. 2). To do so, unfasten the lock nuts from the
feet of the unit.
6. Set up the EPS 708 at its ultimate location.
7. Remove and dispose of the transportation straps
around the guard.

Do not extend the feet by more than 110 mm.
8. Open the guard.
9. Align the EPS 708 using a spirit level. To do so,
adjust the feet until the EPS 708 is straight. The
reference points for the spirit level are the clamping
rail and the top edge of the test bench housing
(refer to Fig. 3).
