TERISTICS

DESCRIPTION

These generators are three-phase rectifiers, specially designed for
arc welding with every kind of coated electrode (Manual Metal Arc).
The direct current delivered can be adjusted continually, even un-
der load, by means of a manually operated magnetic shunt.
The current setting (I2) can be read off the graduated scale on the
front panel, corresponding to the arc voltage (U2) according to the
formula U2V = 20V+ 0.04 I2 (UNI-ISO 700).
MAIN COMPONENTS:

Three-phase transformer with magnetic shunts and adjuster
mechanism

Three-phase Graetz bridge rectifier with protection.
3.
Inductor (on 300 Amp. models only).
4.
Single-phase electric cooling fan.
5.
Main line switch with interlock to change supply voltage.
6.
Welding cable connection terminals (+ / -).
7.
Power cable (3ph + PE).

INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: BEFORE CONNECTING, PREPARING OR US-
ING EQUIPMENT READ, SAFETY PRECAUTIONS.
2.1
CONNECTING THE WELDING MACHINE TO THE
MAINS ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
Turning off the welding machine while welding could damage it se-
verely. Check that the power socket is equipped with the fuse in-
dicated in the technical data table on the generator. All generator
models are designed to compensate power supply variations. For
variations of +-10%, a welding current variation of +-0.2% is cre-
ated.
