Clean the appliance

q Cleaning the appliance:
- Remove the mains plug
(or switch OFF or unscrew
mains fuse)
- Clean the appliance
- Insert the mains plug
- Then switch the appliance
ON again
q NEVER use steam or a steam
cleaner to clean the appliance.
The hot steam can damage the
surfaces and the electrical
components.
The electrical safety of the appliance
may be affected.
q To clean the appliance remove
bottles and put them in a safe place.
q Do not enter the appliance when
cleaning it otherwise there is a risk
of it toppling over.
q Cleaning water must NOT drip onto
the control panel or lights. Clean
the whole appliance, except the door
seals, with tepid water and a mild,
lightly disinfectant cleaning agent
(e.g. liquid soap).
Abrasive and acidic cleaning agents
and chemical solvents and polishes
are NOT suitable.
q Wipe the door seal with tepid water
only and then dry thoroughly.
q Clean the lights only with dry
material.
Clean the dust filter

If the dust filter (15) is dirty or FIL shows
in the display (see Fig. v), clean the
dust filter.
This will maintain the performance of
the appliance and conserve energy.
q To clean the filter, pull off the
ventilation grille (14).
q Clean the dust filter (15), slots (16)
and side grilles (17) with a vacuum
cleaner.
q Re insert the ventilation grille (14).
After cleaning press button
FIL goes out (see chapter Function
buttons and displays).
To give the dust filter (15) a thorough
cleaning:
q Remove the dust filter (Fig. U a)
Raise the dust filter gently (15) by the
handle until it disengages and pull
out forwards.
q Clean the dust filter (Fig. y)
Clean the dust filter (15), slots (16)
and side grilles (17) with a vacuum
cleaner.
q Install the dust filter (Fig. U b)
Press the dust filter (15) upwards in
direction A and then tilt in direction B
until it locks in position.
q Re insert the ventilation grille (14).
